Moving excitons in graphene    [PDF]

M. M. Mahmoodian, M. V. Entin
We demonstrate that electrons and holes in graphene can compose a bound moving pair. The binding is conditioned by the trigonal warping of conic energy spectrum. The binding energies are found for the lowest exciton states. These energies essentially depend on the value and direction of exciton momentum and vanish when the momentum tends to zero. The ways to observe the exciton states are discussed. It is shown that the statistics of graphene at finite temperature experiences corrections caused by the exciton states.
