We propose optical phonon lasing for a semiconductor double quantum dot weakly coupled to two LO phonon modes that act as a natural cavity. Lasing occurs for pumping the dot via elec- tronic tunneling at rates much larger than the phonon decay rate, whereas anti-bunching of phonon emission is observed in the opposite regime of very slow tunneling. Both effects disappear by a Franck-Condon induced effective thermalization for strong electron-phonon coupling.
