Control of the local density of optical states by simultaneously coupling a strongly confined exciton to two time depending electric fields of the same frequency, is theoretically and numerically demonstrated. Drastic changes in the emission spectra, yielding tunable broadening of the ranges of optically active frequencies are observed. The obtained results are in excellent qualitative and quantitative agreement with experimental observations presented in the complementary paper of Ref. (1)
