We investigate the focusing effect (enhancement of probability in a particular state) induced by a dichotomous noise on simple models for ion-channels. Ion-channel dynamics are analyzed through over-damped Langevin equations. In the case of a simple double well potential model for ion-channels we find a focusing effect which cannot be predicted by a simple master equation approach. Our analysis is then extended to a more realistic eight-state model for ion-cahnnels.
