Three-dimensional symmetry breaking topological matters    [PDF]

Tetsuro Habe, Yasuhiro Asano
We study the three-dimensional topological phase represented by the Dirac Hamiltonian with the Hermite matrix breaking ordinal symmetry: time-reversal, particle-hole and chiral symmetry. The Hermite matrix is invariant under the composite symmetry in spin space and subspace, and construct the Abelian group. We find the Zeeman field in the three-dimensional time-reversal invariant topological insulator is belonging to the Abelian group. In weak Zeeman field, the gapless surface states are guaranteed by the composite symmetry for the Abelian group. We also find that the topological semi-metal phase appears in the topological low-symmetry matter in the presence of large Zeeman field numerically.
