We present a method that is capable to explore nonequilibrium steady state properties of strongly correlated quantum many-body systems within dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT). The DMFT impurity solver is based on the exact solution of an auxiliary system consisting of a finite number of bath sites coupled to the interacting impurity site and to two Markovian reservoirs. The approach can be seen as the extension of the DMFT impurity solver to the nonequilibrium case based on exact diagonalization. As an illustration, we present results for the density of states and for the current across an interacting Hubbard layer.
